Nvidia CEO Urges Employees to Embrace AI for Productivity

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has emphasized that artificial intelligence (AI) is now an integral part of the company's work environment, urging employees to integrate the technology into all aspects of their work, from programming to product development. He clarified that AI is a tool to enhance productivity and efficiency, not a threat to jobs.

During an internal meeting, Huang addressed reports that some managers had instructed their teams to reduce their reliance on AI. He stressed that the goal is to automate every possible task while ensuring that work continues as normal. He encouraged engineers to leverage AI-powered programming tools to improve speed and efficiency, while also contributing to the development of imperfect tools to guarantee optimal performance.

Huang's remarks come at a time when major technology companies are increasingly focused on integrating AI into daily operations. Companies like Google and Microsoft have revealed that approximately 30% of new code is generated using AI, and other companies are planning to partially evaluate employees based on their use of AI tools.

Despite this, some employees expressed concern about the impact of automation on jobs. In this context, Amazon announced a plan to cut approximately 14,000 jobs as part of a restructuring, with the total number expected to reach 30,000.

Huang emphasized that artificial intelligence will change the nature of work but will not lead to job losses. He stated that employees will not lose their jobs to AI, but rather to those who know how to use it effectively.

He pointed out that the company's investments in automation will open up greater opportunities, noting the growth of its workforce from 29,600 employees at the end of fiscal year 2024 to 36,000 by the end of 2025, with the need for further hiring to keep pace with growth and training.

Artificial intelligence is the primary driver of Nvidia's growth and its continued leadership in the chip industry. Huang affirms that employees who embrace the technology will benefit the most, while those who ignore it will fall behind in the sector's development.
