Silent Hill 2 is now available on Xbox.
If you're an Xbox exclusive eagerly awaiting the release of Bluebear Team's stunning new Silent Hill 2 on Microsoft consoles, your time has come. While the ideal release date was last month to coincide with horror season, Silent Hill 2 is always a worthwhile choice.
A completely remake of the popular 2001 survival horror game, Silent Hill 2 puts you in the role of widower James Sunderland, who is summoned to the rural town of the same name after receiving a letter from his deceased wife, where various forms of psychological terror await him.
Controversially, the 2024 game has abandoned the fixed camera angles of the original, adopting a more modern over-the-shoulder perspective. Thankfully, this transition doesn't sacrifice any of the game's gripping atmosphere. The foggy streets of Silent Hill remain as terrifying as ever, making it a must-exploration.
To celebrate the release of Silent Hill 2 on Xbox Series X|S, Konami has slashed the price of both the Xbox and PC versions by 50%. You can also snag this year's new installment, Silent Hill F, with a 30% discount for Black Friday.
Meanwhile, Dave the Diver, winner of Engadget's Game of the Year 2023 award, has finally arrived on all Xbox platforms (including Xbox One), while the fantastic horror game Clover Pit also made a surprise release this week. It's also available on Game Pass.
