The Xbox November 2025 Update Introduces Gaming Copilot: Details
Microsoft's November 2025 Xbox update introduced a wide range of improvements aimed at enhancing the gaming experience across mobile, PC, and cloud platforms. The company has been steadily expanding its ecosystem throughout the year, and this latest update continues that trend with new AI tools, interface upgrades, and broader access to cloud gaming.
Many features previously limited to specific devices are now available to a wider audience. Microsoft says this month's rollout also includes improvements to streaming quality and support for more devices.
One of the key additions in the November 2025 Xbox update is the beta version of Gaming Copilot on the Xbox Mobile app. This AI assistant, already available on Windows, can answer gameplay-related questions by monitoring game activity in real time. The company explained that users can access it from the Gaming Copilot tab and interact with it via voice or text.
The latest update also expands the availability of the full-screen Xbox experience on Windows devices. This option was first introduced on the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X (review) and Xbox Ally, then rolled out to more Windows mobile devices, and is now being tested by Windows Insiders on more Windows 11 PCs, according to the company.
The interface is said to be designed with the console in mind, offering a sleek and streamlined design similar to the console's dashboard.
Cloud gaming improvements are also part of this month's Xbox update. The company confirmed that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can now choose their preferred streaming resolution, with some games supporting resolutions up to 1440p. Microsoft notes that this option gives players more control over image quality and streaming performance.
Microsoft also announced that over 1,000 games now support the "Streaming Your Own Collection" feature, allowing Xbox Game Pass subscribers to stream games they already own.
Additional updates include broader support for Play Anywhere games, and continued release of accessories, such as the Xbox-designed Backbone controller.
