The terrifying game Saros will launch on PS5 in March 2026.
Sony announced during its September State of Play presentation that Saros, the next game from Returnal developer Housemarque, will be released for PlayStation 5 on March 20, 2026.
Based on the trailer shown at the event, Saros appears to be inspired by Returnal, featuring futuristic weapons, bullets, and screen-filling rings, as well as mysterious environments to explore. You'll also get a new shield that allows you to run towards projectiles, which you can absorb as energy and then hurl at your enemies.
Housemarque also offers the unlockable "Second Chance" ability, which allows you to respawn after death. This feature could prove useful in a game that appears to be very difficult. Other permanent progression systems have also been added to the game.
"Saros" was announced earlier this year, and at the time, Sony didn't specify a release date until 2026. The game will also be optimized for the PlayStation 5 Pro.
